GDIT is seeking a Director of Business Development for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), will lead the identification, qualification and pursuit of new business opportunities within DHS. The primary focus will be on US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). You must demonstrate a deep understanding of DHS and USCIS mission priorities as well as key relationships within DHS and the respective component agencies. The Director of Business Development, DHS position provides an outstanding opportunity to play a leadership role as we work together to create the Next GDIT and apply the breadth of resources available in our new organization to critical technology and mission challenges across DHS. The Director will possess a deep understanding of DHS mission priorities as well as key relationships within DHS, and leverages this knowledge to develop customer and partner relationships, provide thought leadership in the marketplace and lead the development and execution of GDIT go-to-market account plans. Duties include but are not limited to: Provide critical leadership across the new business capture lifecycle - from opportunity identification, qualification, and win strategy development through the post submission phases of the Business Capture Process. Work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team to formulate, communicate and implement an integrated business development and capture strategy that provides customers a clear and defensible justification for selecting GDIT for the award. Develops and implements campaign plans and strategies, maintains a firm comprehension of the customer's requirements, understand the strengths/weaknesses of our competitors and develops/implements winning strategies that highlight strengths and mitigate weaknesses. Establish value-added teaming strategies and competitive pricing structures to create a profitable return at a winning cost. Education Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or a technical or business related discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, professional training, or work/military experience. Qualifications 12-15 years of related marketing and business development experience. Able to obtain a DHS EOD. 10+ years of experience in the federal market with a demonstrable track record of engagement and success within DHS and USCIS. Successful track record advancing new business development strategies and information technology solutions for Application Development, IT Modernization, Infrastructure Engineering, Cloud Migration, Data Analytics, Cybersecurity and/or Intelligence Analysis. Proven ability to build relationships and lead through influence at all levels of the organization. Exceptional communication and presentation skills. Active engagement as a visible thought leader in the DHS eco-system; Proven track record of identifying and closing on new business opportunities in the DHS market. Desired Qualifications: Active DHS EOD status. Results orientation with sense of urgency. Develops actionable plans by leveraging market knowledge. Highly collaborative leader that can lead teams and also contribute effectively as a team member or individual contributor.
