ResponsibilitiesAt MAXIMUS, we are building a leading digital solutions organization to better serve our organization and our clients in the government, health, and human services space. As a key leader within this organization, the Senior Director of Innovation & Delivery Excellence will cross over all technology and innovation initiatives in the digital portfolio and will be responsible for the creation, implementation and continuous improvement of MAXIMUS' Digital Solutions Methodology, which will serve as both the tool box and a repeatable blueprint for our digital way of working with both traditional (Web, Mobile, Social, Analytics) and emerging (RPA, AI, Machine Learning, etc.) technologies. The methodology will include a collection of industry best-practice processes, templates, standards, and supporting tools to enable rapid innovation through a design thinking-based approach with creative and innovative ways to quickly define a strategic direction and (2) an efficient, predictable SAFe-based lean startup/agile delivery methodology.In addition to championing the rollout of the Digital Solutions Methodology, this resource is also expected to practice this methodology and lead by example initially as both an innovation pod coordinator and a hands-on scrum master, as an agile coach, and ultimately as the overall program manager for the entire digital portfolio. Requirements:* Bachelor's degree required. Prefer computer science, informatics, engineering, or similar; Master's degree preferred* Minimum 15 years of experience in sr. program management role in a large consultancy, digital agency, or high-tech company* Demonstrated experience creating and working with a mature software delivery methodology that supports both rapid innovation/prototyping coupled with industrialized agile delivery* Demonstrated experience with software project management and/or program management * Demonstrated experience with practicing agile delivery methodologies, preferably SAFe based* Demonstrated experience with hands-on configuration and use of agile enabling tools such as JIRA, Rally, Confluence* Demonstrated experience managing and leading the work of others* Demonstrated extensive experience working with nearshore, offshore, and working in a distributed teamQualifications:* SAFe SA or Scrum Master certification preferred but not required* Experience as a hands-on coach taking an organization through an agile transformation* Demonstrated understanding of how & when to make tradeoffs between text-book process and situational reality* Experience understanding operational challenges and tying that back to the business value involved in enterprise-wide deployments in high-tech companies* Drive to find solutions to all sorts of challenges, whether they be technical challenges, organizational challenges, or personal challenges* Curiosity to learn about new businesses and industries, and ability to quickly grasp and make effective use of industry- and company-specific terminology* Solid communication skills and leadership* Strong negotiation and objection handling skills* Ability to lead, motivate and direct a team* Ability to influence others both within and outside of immediate team to achieve results* Experience with P&L Responsibility* Travel: Ability to travel as required up to 60%The Ideal Candidate will Possess the Following Additional Education and Experience.
