Electrical Engineer II - Columbia, MD At Dwyer Engineering, we work in small teams helping our clients build and operate sustainable stores, restaurants and offices by focusing on engineering of power, lighting, controls, heating, ventilation, water and refrigeration. Our offices are located in Maryland and Virginia and we work on projects in the eastern US. If you are an experienced power and lighting EE who enjoys small, hard-charging teams working towards common goals, we need your help. This position will be in our Maryland office, which is located in a Columbia, Maryland within walking distance of shopping and Merriweather Post Pavilion. RESPONSIBILITIES Design, draw and redline lighting, power, wiring, and electrical equipment using AutoCAD, Revit and Bluebeam. Run projects, schedule work, create proposals Survey buildings: take photos, measurements, assess equipment (some use of ladders required) Respond to Construction RFI's Inspect electrical construction for compliance to code and to drawings QUALIFICATIONS Excellent written and verbal communication Ability to work well in a team environment US Citizenship or permission to work in US EIT license required PE license in Electrical Engineering must be obtained within 2 years, if not PE already 3 years of experience in similar projects BENEFITS Health Insurance (90% paid for individuals, 75% paid for dependents) Simple IRA with full match, no vesting Profit Sharing after 2 years of experience (circa 30% of profits shared with staff) Paid time off (Holidays + 2-5 weeks) Life and Disability insurance Professional license fees as needed Professional memberships and conferences Continuing Education We are an equal opportunity employer.
