1. Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Plan, coordinate, review and conduct life cycle support requirements for Communication Electronics and Information Technology hardware programs.
2. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Develop and maintain strategic plans for CE and IT logistics maintenance objectives and goals in support of the organizations Command and Control Services mission areas.
3. Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Interpret complex data and maintenance analysis products and skill in interpreting maintenance metrics to determine the effects on command maintenance and support programs and to propose strategies for meeting maintenance and sustainment requirements.
4. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Overcome problems in their early stages and employ innovative management techniques to ensure program accomplishment.

THIS IS A DIRECT HIRE ANNOUNCEMENT. Sections 1643(a)(1) of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2017 authorizes the Secretary of Defense to recruit and appoint qualified candidates directly to cyber workforce positions to carry out the responsibilities of the U.S. Cyber Command.

Term appointments may be extended up to 8 years at the discretion of management and in accordance with applicable regulations. Additionally, you may be noncompetitively converted to a permanent career-conditional or career appointment under specific conditions.
This position is eligible for part time, full time or ad-hoc telework at the discretion of management.
