The Office of Transformational Learning at the Robert H. Smith School of Business seeks to hire a Coordinator, to provide administrative support to the office staff and Director. The primary responsibility of the Coordinator will be to ensure that the office operations consistently function in an efficient and effective manner. This will involve providing administrative support for departmental leaders and project management support for departmental initiatives, as well as representing the Office of Transformational Learning to internal and external stakeholders. The Coordinator will also support the planning and organization of logistics for departmental projects and events hosted by the Office of Transformational Learning.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree required. Two to five years of high-level administrative experience. Significant customer/student relationship management experience.
It is vital for this individual to be a strong team player who can develop and maintain constructive and collaborative working relationships with others. Displays high levels of initiative. Is a highly motivated self-starter who takes direction well but can also work independently. Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Possesses excellent time management skills.
Manages one’s own time and the time of others. Demonstrates strong office management and planning and organizing skills. Shows strong attention to detail. Displays a strong work ethic, and is conscientious and dependable. Ability to consistently deliver high quality work within quick turnaround times. Excellent multi-tasking skills; can effectively handle multiple issues at the same time. Is able to manage a high volume of work and perform tasks from brief instructions.
Preferences: Project management experience. Experience working in higher education. Knowledge of University policies and procedures. Knowledge of various office technologies, including MS Office and Google.
Physical Demands: Occasional lifting of items up to 25 lbs. Sitting at a desk for extended periods of time.
