The position requires the incumbent to possess, obtain, and maintain a Top Secret security clearance with eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and Special Access Programs (SAP).

Incumbent is required to participate in the Civilian Drug Testing Program and will be required to take a preemployment urinalysis test.

Must pass the organization's Personnel Reliability Program which includes credit check, drug screening, polygraph and psychological evaluation.

The position may requirement temporary duty travel up to 20% of the time.

Incumbent must be willing to work overtime and irregular hours.

Must be willing to deploy to hazardous duty areas in support of operations and training for periods of up to 120 days.

Must sign a statement attesting to the understanding of DCIPS provisions.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. One year of specialized experience which includes providing advice, guidance, and oversight of personnel, physical, and industrial security actions; and providing guidance on special access programs, alternative compensatory control measures, and/or sensitive compartmented information. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).

You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:

• Security Education, Training and Awareness
• Security Program Management

Specialized experience is progressively responsible intelligence-related security work directly related to the position being filled. Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector or in another government agency as long as it was at a level at least equivalent to the next lower band in the series.

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
