Chief Digital Information Officer

Stars and Stripes news media organization is searching for a Chief Digital Information Officer (CDIO) with responsibility and managerial authority to develop and implement digital and information technology services. Develops technology to support digital and print content delivery needs supporting a worldwide organization. Develops and implements policies and procedures establishing goals for measurement of success. Determines resource needs, allocates resources and accounts for their effective use. Serves as the principal advisor to the Publisher on all matters impacting the Digital Information department. Serves as primary advisor on technical matters. Supervises the Digital Information staff worldwide. These areas include items such as: network enterprise architecture, Information Assurance, Computer Network Defense, processing and reengineering, 508c compliance, content management systems, revenue generation systems, and Electronic Commerce.

 A four-year college degree at an accredited U.S. University in information technology related studies plus 5 years’ experience (in government or commercial enterprises) in the field of information technology and/or digital content delivery OR equivalent job experience (in government or commercial enterprise) of at least 10 years in the field of information technology and/or digital content delivery. One year of specialized experience at the next lower grade or pay equal to NF-04 or equivalent (in other government position or commercial industry) is required.

The best candidates will have superior communications and cross-functional leadership skills, with a demonstrated ability to analyze medium to large data sets and present this data as cogent reports at varying levels of the organization.

Advanced degree in business management or five or more years of specialized experience in managing information technology or user content or branding/advertising design as described above. Familiarity with print and digital media content development, production and delivery.
