Associate Professor of Bioinformatics

Responsibilities: Provides instruction for undergraduate courses in Bioinformatics and related fields including advanced level electives. Supports the strengthening of the Bioinformatics program. Contributes to scholarly activities that lead to publications in quality peer-reviewed journals; serves the department and university through academic advising of students, participation in committees, and establishes a productive undergraduate research program. This is a full-time tenure track faculty position.
Qualifications: Ph.D. in Bioinformatics or related field(s). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, in addition to demonstrated ability to work in a team environment. Experience with technology application in the classroom. Experience working with underrepresented minorities in STEM. Strong candidates may possess experience teaching introductory level courses in the area of Bioinformatics or Biochemistry.
