Responsibilities: Provides instruction for undergraduate courses in Biochemistry, Bioinformatics, and General Biology. Contributes to scholarly activities that lead to publications in quality peer-reviewed journals. Serves the department and university through academic advising of students, participation in committees, and establishes a productive undergraduate research program. This is a full-time tenure track faculty position.
Qualifications: Ph.D. in Biochemistry. Postdoctoral experience is preferred. Record of peer-reviewed publications preferred. Excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to excellence in teaching undergraduate students. Experience in obtaining grant funding. Experience with the application of technology in the classroom/pedagogy. Ability to develop a research program with underrepresented minorities. Strong candidates will be collegial and possess excellent leadership skills.
