You qualify for the GS-14 grade level (starting salary $114,590) if you possess one year of specialized experience at the GS-13 grade level performing the following duties:
- Reviewing and editing communications such as emails, reports, social media posts, talking points, etc. for publication or coordination.
- Advising and making decisions in the development and implementation of communications and documents for sharing information.
- Monitoring and managing the production of reports, informational and decision papers, and briefings to ensure all products are factual and accurate.
- Maintaining full accountability for all communications equipment and coordinates with team supervisors to ensure all staff have appropriate equipment to conduct business.
National Service Experience (i.e., volunteer experience): Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Current or Former Political Appointees: The Office of Personnel Management (OPM) must authorize employment offers made to current or former political appointees. Current federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade level or equivalent grade band in the federal service. The time-in-grade requirement must be met by closing date of this announcement.
