SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization.
FOR GS-13: One year of specialized experience, equivalent to at least the GS-12 in the Federal service reviewing, analyzing, and processing Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests to redact and annotate records, prepare timely responses and ensuring confidentiality; researching and compiling reports, drafting correspondences and serving as a public representative regarding FOIA cases; inputting, deleting, retrieving, manipulating, and correcting information in automated databases or electronic records; advising on Freedom of Information Act to senior officials and leadership within the agency to adhere to Federal laws, regulations, agency policies and standards; providing formal and informal FOIA training.
FOR GS-14: One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 in the Federal service coordinating and tracking complex Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests to ensure compliance, accurate and timely responses; identifying legal issues and conducting analysis to determine if any of the FOIA's exemptions apply; developing a wide variety of complex reports, drafting correspondences to make recommendations to leadership on internal operations of the organization; serving as a public liaison/representative for the agency, various departmental components, public and media related to FOIA; developing policies and standards on FOIA for the agency to adhere to Federal laws and regulations; developing and providing formal and informal FOIA training; supervising, managing and planning employee's work based on agency priorities.

CTAP/ICTAP: Department of the Interior (DOI) Career Transition Assistance Plan (CTAP) procedures apply in filling this vacancy. 5 CFR 330, Career Transition Assistance for Surplus and Displaced Federal Employees requires the following order of selection for this position:
