Ophthalmic Technician/Assistant

Busy Ophthalmology practice in Silver Spring, Maryland looking for full time technician/assistant

The person that we seek is one who enjoys working one-to-one with patients in a clinical setting, being part of a team and who wants to grow with us.

Prior experience in Ophthalmology is preferred although we are willing to train the right person to become an ophthalmic assistant.  A positive attitude and desire to learn are desirable.

Primary job responsibilities include screening patients for chief complaint, measuring visual acuity, measuring eye pressure, performing Visual Fields and Retinal photography and assisting with patient flow.

 Ability to do manual refraction is a plus as is familiarity with EMR.  

Our hours are M-F 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.
