To qualify for the GS-7 level: Applicants must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-06 level in the Federal service that included: 1) processing personnel data into the National Finance Center (NFC) automated pay system; 2) identifying the scope and nature of employee personnel problems or issues; 3) reviewing and processing personnel action requests or; 4) researching HR policies, procedures, and operations to perform a variety of HR support tasks (i.e., performance management and awards, staffing and classification, benefits, training and/or payroll).
Must be reflected in resume.
To qualify for the GS-8 level: Applicants must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 level in the Federal service that included: 1) processing personnel data into the National Finance Center (NFC) automated pay system; 2) providing technical advice and guidance to employees and supervisors on various HR practices and processes; 3) applying researching HR policies, procedures, and operations to perform a variety of HR support tasks (i.e., performance management and awards, staffing and classification, benefits, training and/or payroll) or; 4) resolving personnel issues relating to pay, salary increases, onboard dates, and accuracy of data.
