The Facility Security Officer (FSO) is responsible for managing the Industrial Security Program at Artis, LLC. This position ensures the proper implementation and oversight of security controls in accordance with the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM).
As an FSO for a Multi Facility Organization, you will implement procedures, monitor and report on our physical security program for our Virginia facility and advise and assist with same for our Utah facility, which may involve occasional travel to Salt Lake City.

- Liaison to DSS Industrial Security Representative on all classified information and facility security matters Facilitate the successful preparation and completion of annual assessments to ensure government compliance. Perform facility self-inspections twice a year (per NISPOM), including documenting findings and corrective actions Prepare DD-254s and security guidance for subcontractors. Maintain DD-254 database, track periods of performance Process employees for security clearances using SF86 and JPAS Lead Insider Threat program Maintain all facility clearance (FCL) documentation and update DSS with any changes in company structure. Ensure proper marking, safeguarding, tracking and transmission of all classified materials. Interface with staff and management to implement mandated security training Stay current with new and changed security requirements via online training and local conferences. Brief management regarding those changes. Manage proximity card program and oversee visitor control procedures Investigate security incidents and violations, prepare reports of investigations, and make specific recommendations for corrective and preventative actions Maintain working knowledge of DSS Information Systems, including JPAS, e‑FCL, ISFD, e-QIP, NISS, DISS, NCAIS Assist the ISSM with implementing and maintaining Accredited Information System. Current ISSO/ISSM qualifications a plus
- Must have at least 4 years industrial security experience and an in-depth knowledge of the NISPOM. Completion of DSS FSO required training Current SECRET security clearance Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
