The University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business is seeking a well-qualified applicant to join the team in the Office of Marketing and Communications. One of 13 schools and colleges located on the University of Maryland, College Park campus, the Smith School is a recognized leader in management research and education for the global economy. The Master’s Program Marketing Manager will create compelling marketing content that engages prospects and drives lead conversion, demonstrates the excellence of individual MS programs and the successful outcomes achieved by their graduates, and builds the Smith School brand as a leader in the teaching of data-driven decision making.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in English, marketing, journalism, communications or related field. Inventive, warm and compelling copywriting. Excellent visual and written communications skills. Basic knowledge of SEO best practices. Informal video production skills. Proven understanding of creative development and production processes demonstrated by a high-quality portfolio of past projects. Outstanding interpersonal communication skills. Able to communicate effectively with all constituents within a highly diverse university environment. Ability to work quickly and meet deadlines. Ability to manage projects and stay organized. Ability to take initiative, solve problems and deliver results without close supervision. Knowledge of and basic skills with video editing software and equipment.
The salary for this position will be in the low $50’s to mid $60’s. The University also offers a comprehensive benefits package, including 22 Days Annual Leave; 15 Days Sick Leave; 3 Days Personal Leave; 15 Paid Holidays; Tuition Remission; Health, Dental, Vision and Prescription coverage.
