Sr. Financial Analyst/Accountant
Our client has an exciting opportunity for a seasoned Sr. Financial Analyst/Accountant to join their team in D.C..

Performing technical documenting, accounting assessments, and assisting with the internal and external audit process. Expertise in financial reporting, update and create department procedures. Prepare and deliver in a timely and accurate manner, daily and monthly financial reports, regulatory reports and financial packages to support the achievement of organizational objectives.
Accurately prepare and deliver monthly financial reports, and regulatory reporting to support the achievement of organizational objectives along with executive view financial packages in a timely manner.
Act as a true business partner by providing financial results to operational teams along with analysis support.
Take a lead in the preparation of annual operating budgets and annual audited financial statements.
Be the primary contact for the design and maintenance of the budgeting and reporting systems.
Take charge of the development and maintenance of activity costing rates used for profit analysis and be able to provide analysis in support of organizational initiatives.
Enjoys staying ahead of current trends and methodologies in management accounting and reporting.
Be a leader in industry best practices when it comes to managing and implementing financial modeling tools Development of cost pricing for proposal pricing development and lead and implementation of pricing models. Pricing models are both administration and software development type proposals with strong scheduling background.
Coordinate accounting activities with management and other staff members in order to provide current and accurate financial information. Contract financial updates, burns and participating in Cost Proposals a must.
Maintaining banking relations.
Perform cash management analysis.
Perform and oversee accounts payable functions within the organization's established policies and be able to participate and revise existing policies as needed.
Coordinate with Contracts Department for AR contract compliance.
Strong Corporate experience in S, LLC and Partnerships required.
Perform financial activities, such as indirect rate reviews, monthly, quarterly and yearly reviews, corporate tax reviews and coordinate with accounting and or tax firm for year-end projections.
Sr. AR experience and budget development.
Coordinate and provides regular financial status updates to outside vendors and consultants as required.
Number of Years Experience Required:
7+ years of hands on accounting experience.
7+ years working with corporate management.
9+ years of contract and proposal pricing experience.
9+ years of financial documentation preparation.
10+ years of government contract accounting & finance reporting experience.
10+ years of Financial, government and management reporting at the corporate level.
Minimum Education and Certifications Required:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field.
Technical Skills Required:
Must have a working knowledge of excel, accounting software such as Great Plains, Deltek, etc.
Other Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
U.S. Citizen or person with valid U.S. work visa who has lived in the U.S. for 3 or more years.
Government cost accounting, including developing overhead rates and proposal pricing.
Thorough knowledge of GAAP.
Must be highly organized, reliable and have excellent time management skills.
Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
Hands on accounting/finance experience and responsibilities that includes but is not limited to credit claims, refunds, monthly financials preparation, monthly project burn reports, invoice processing and verification, expense coding, drafting payment checks, posting, AP/AR processing, verification of receipts,.
Illustrate that the expertise has been both at the customer level and at the CEO/COO level of management.
Strong audit and review skills for all work released both internally and externally.
Must be a team player.
