Do you have a passion for storytelling and developing innovative, results driven communication campaigns? Intelsat is looking for a PR professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a proven track record of delivering impactful communications campaigns on behalf of our government and media business units. 

We are looking for an energetic and strategic communications professional with exceptional external communication skills who can drive sustained, integrated B2B PR campaigns. This role will support the media and government business units.  Working with a global and results-oriented team, this person will be focused on creating compelling stories that demonstrate how our market leading technology is solving complex communications challenges for our customers.

This position requires strong written and verbal communication skills (writing sample required); ability to simplify and easily convey the value delivered by complex technological solutions; an understanding of online and traditional communications platforms; demonstrated experience and expertise in media relations.

 

Are you up to the challenge?

  • Create and execute results-focused B2B communications campaigns that deliver on the company's strategic goals;
  • Develop compelling narratives that promote the company's products and services and the unique value that they provide; drive placement of these narratives in paid, earned and owned channels;
  • Foster and build relationships with the media to tell the Intelsat story, strengthen our position as a leading global communications provider;
  • Work with internal partners (Marketing, Product Management, Social, Internal Communications, etc.) to build and implement cohesive integrated plans; develop compelling media assets to help Intelsat use video and digital storytelling to their fullest effect.
  • Ensure we have a rigorous, data-driven approach to measuring impact and generating results.

 

Can you drive these processes?

  • Develop a compelling narrative that drives understanding and awareness of Intelsat's products and services
  • Manage agency partners through all parts of the planning, execution and reporting process of B2B communications campaigns
  • Establish and maintain new relationships with national, regional and trade media, including digital platforms

 

You should definitely have:

  • A bachelor's degree in a related field with at least seven (7) years' agency or in-house experience; preferably with a leading technology company
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills (writing sample required)
  • Experience working effectively with multiple constituents, including peers, executive management, senior management, giving simplicity to complex subject matters
  • Strong media contacts and proven history of placements with leading trade associations
  • An understanding of online and traditional communications platforms; demonstrated experience and expertise in media relations; knowledge of current digital and social media technology
  • Solid presentation skills; proven track record of developing and delivering compelling presentations
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously as part of a team; ability to stay organized and effective in all situations
  • Ability to influence decision makers through incisive analysis and persuasive communication.
  • Must be a self-starter and team motivator, ability to work in a fast-paced corporate environment.
  • Demonstrate high ethical and professional standards with all business and media contacts.


It would be nice if you had:

  • Experience working in a high-tech or telecommunications industry; or in the media or government sectors
