Vice President, Federal Sales

We are seeking an experienced and driven Vice President, Federal Sales to lead our federal sales and channels team focused on this sector. This position reports to the CEO. What You'll Own: .Develop and execute on the go to market strategy as it relates to the federal business .Lead and manage the federal sales team to exceed monthly sales and billing quotas .Train and coach Regional Account Managers and Channel Sales Executives to support revenue opportunities .Spearhead and scale business across re seller and OEM channel partners .Coaching and mentoring the federal sales team to ensure targets are met, and surpassed .Develop and execute account plans for key customers and prospects .Utilize hands on team development and monitoring activities to ensure excellence .Work in conjunction with all internal organizations (Customer Care and Product) .Support learning and development initiatives impacting the sales organization .Lead federal sales organization change initiatives by continuously assessing requirements and removing obstacles .Establish and maintain productive relationships with fellow executives, customers and prospects. .Encourage an energetic, fun sales environment that drives collaboration and competition Knowledge, Skills and Experience You'll Need: .5+ years second line management experience in federal managing teams of 10 or more staff .10+ years in B2B software sales company, experience in SaaS and network infrastructure sales preferred .Keen understanding of relevant entity structures and certifications / regulations in the federal business .Strong track record of recruiting, developing and retaining a high performing sales organization .Demonstrably positive impact with a growing software company as a leader .Consistent over-achievement of key metrics .Proven track record of building satisfied, loyal and reference-able customers .Strong capability to develop trusted relationship with customers .Strong operational and analytical abilities .Strategic sales experience and revenue achievement selling multiple enterprise software offerings .Undergraduate degree - MBA is an asset BlueCat's Core Values: Curiosity - We care and inquire about the challenges and needs of our customers Clarity - We keep communication crisp, clear and responsive Collaboration - We win with each other, never alone Transparency - We ensure all relevant information is available - no questions are off limits Ownership - We are responsible and accountable for getting things done What you'll get from us: Fast growth for BlueCat means fast growth for you!
