Functionsas the strategic business leader for new and emerging digital products andplatforms. Position works with direct reports to develop and implementstrategies that manage and mature emerging products past incubation and theinitial proof of concept phases. The position ensures new and emerging productsmeet the brand's standards, targets customer needs, focuses on growing revenuesand maximizes the financial performance of each product and overall portfolio. Thisrole also serves as the senior Digital partner with the Customer Experience (CX)Innovation and Growth teams.. CANDIDATEPROFILE. Education and Experience. Twelve or more years' experience in digital productstrategy, development, and operational leadership positions, demonstratingprogressive career growth and a pattern of exceptional performance.. Experience managing and defining transformational strategiesand emerging digital products.. Demonstrated ability to deliver results underdifficult conditions, particularly when faced with complexity and ambiguity.. 4-year degree from an accredited university inBusiness Administration, Hospitality Management, Technology or related major.. LeadingEmerging Digital Products Team. Identifiesand incubates emerging digital products (eg Marriott Moments, TravelMarketplace, Home Rentals, etc.). Manageproducts throughout the emerging lifecycle phases.. Championsthe brand's service vision for product and service delivery.. Communicatesa clear and consistent message regarding departmental goals to produce desiredresults.. Makesand executes the necessary decisions to keep department moving forward towardachievement of goals.. IdentifyTrends & Managing Profitability. Stayinformed and keep the organization informed on emerging digital trends and bestpractices.. Analyzesservice issues and identifies trends.. Workswith teams to develop an operational strategy that is aligned with the product'sbusiness strategy and leads its execution.. Reviewsand audits expenses.. ManagingRevenue Goals. Monitorsperformance against budget.. Reviewsreports and financial statements to determine operations' performance againstbudget.. Coachesand supports team to manage expenses, wages and controllable expenses.. BuildingRelationships & Ensuring Exceptional Customer Service. Partnerwith other Digital product teams to develop and transition products as theymature.. Partnerwith the CX Innovation & Growth teams on CX-led initiatives.. Partnerwith Revenue & Distribution teams on Digital Group initiatives and products.. Demonstratesand communicates key drivers of customer satisfaction for the product's targetcustomer.. Reviewscustomer feedback with leadership team and ensures corrective action is taken.. Interactswith customer to obtain feedback on product quality and service levels.. Staysvisible and interfaces with customers on a regular basis to obtain feedback onquality of product, service levels and overall satisfaction.. Worksto continually improve customer service by integrating obtained feedback andpersonal judgment into action plans.. Emphasizescustomer satisfaction during all departmental meetings and focuses oncontinuous improvement.. Ensuresthat employees understand expectations and parameters for operations duties.. Facilitatesthe development of creative solutions to overcome obstacles and ensuresimplementation to continually improve customer satisfaction results.. Managingand Conducting Human Resources Activities. Interviewsand hires employees.. Promotesthe fair and equitable treatment of employees.. Facilitatesregular, ongoing communication in department (eg, staff meetings).. Fostersemployee commitment to providing excellent service, participates in dailystand-up meetings and models desired service behaviors in all interactions withcustomer and employees.. Incorporatescustomer satisfaction as a component of staff/operations meetings with anemphasis on generating innovative ways to continually improve results.. Setsgoals and expectations for direct reports using the performance review processand holds staff accountable for performance goals.. Solicitsemployee feedback.. Utilizesan "open door policy" and reviews employee satisfaction results to identify andaddress employee problems or concerns.. Promotesadherence to policies consistently, follows disciplinary procedures anddocuments items according to Standard and Local Operating Procedures (SOPs andLSOPs) and supports the Peer Review Process.. Conductsannual performance appraisal with direct reports according to StandardOperating Procedures.. Championschange ensures brand and regional business initiatives are implemented andcommunicates follow-up actions to team as necessary.. Identifiestalents of direct reports and their teams and assists with their growth anddevelopment plans.. Leadership.
