A. One year of specialized experience at the GS-07 grade level 1) providing support to higher graded analysts on recurring assignments in the evaluation and improvement of the efficiency and effectiveness of internal processes and procedures enabling management to execute existing policies; 2) making modifications to existing reporting tools necessary to monitor and report on various straight-forward management programs; and 3) providing research support on the drafting of policy papers where specific guidelines are available.
B. Successful completion of a master's or equivalent graduate degree, or two full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree that provided the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work;
C. A combination of education and experience described above. To combine education and experience, first take the number of semester hours or equivalent earned towards a graduate degree, in excess of 18 semester hours, and divide by 18 semester hours or equivalent. Then take number the number of months experience and divide by 12 months. Add the percentages together. The total must equal at least 100 percent to qualify. You qualify for the GS-11 grade level (starting salary $68,036) if you possess one of the following:
A. One year of specialized experience at the GS-09 grade level 1) providing support in the evaluation and improvement of the efficiency and effectiveness of internal processes and procedures enabling management to execute existing policies; 2) making modifications to existing reporting tools necessary to monitor and report on various management programs; and 3) assisting higher graded analysts in researching organizational directives and policies, facilitating resolutions to problems, and providing recommendations to management.
B. Successful completion of a Ph.D. or three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in an accredited college or university in a field that provided the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work;
C. A combination of education and experience described above. To combine education and experience, first take the number of semester hours or equivalent earned towards a graduate degree, in excess of 36 semester hours, and divide by 18 semester hours or equivalent. Then take number the number of months experience and divide by 12 months. Add the percentages together. The total must equal at least 100 percent to qualify. This will be calculated using your resume and unofficial transcripts or a list of courses/course hours submitted with your application.
You qualify for the GS-12 grade level (starting salary $81,548) if you possess one year of specialized experience at the GS-11 grade level performing the following duties:1) providing support in the evaluation and improvement of the efficiency and effectiveness of internal and operational processes and procedures enabling management to execute new or changing policies; 2) developing reporting tools necessary to monitor and report on various management programs; and 3) researching organizational directives and policies, facilitating resolutions to problems and providing recommendations to management.
