Freddie Mac is seeking a Senior Technical Lead of Technology Strategy who has experience applying data science software and cloud technologies to derive business value. This position will collaborate closely with key stakeholders within IT and data science and analytic communities within the business lines. Through collection of information and business drivers, this role will drive best practices for development of data science and big data applications in the cloud. The candidate must have excellent knowledge in data science, big data and cloud technologies with the ability to influence the IT and business through solid collaboration skills. The successful candidate must also have strong business and technical knowledge and the ability to provide analyses of options, business values, and risk assessments for cloud initiatives at the enterprise and application level.

Responsibilities include:
* Drive data science cloud development activities to include but not limited to design sessions, cloud development, testing best practices, business acceptance and issues resolution
* Function as a subject matter expert and an advisor on technical approaches for running data science workload in the cloud.
* Develop working technical prototypes
* Develop analyses of alternatives for running data science workloads using cloud computing, and business justifications on various cloud strategies to help drive leadership consensus on cloud decisions and cloud roadmap
* Direct technical staff on developing strategic approaches
* Maintain industry and market trend knowledge and identify ways in which new cloud based products and/or modifications or enhancements to current products can be successfully implemented
* Develop and deliver stakeholder reports and presentations to internal and external clients
* Maintain document and diagram cloud solutions, capturing requirements to support the platform and systems

Qualifications

* College or advanced studies degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics or Data Science
* Minimum of 10 years of relevant IT experience
* Solid working experience with AWS, Google and Azure cloud services
* Solid working experience related to machine learning lifecycle
* Solid experience in data science oriented programming languages: Python and R
* Solid experience in data science and big data related infrastructure: Hadoop and Apache Spark
* Solid experience in data science packages and frameworks such as pandas, numpy, scikit-learn, matplotlib, Tensorflow, caret
* Solid experience with open source development practices
* Possess excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills with ability to interact with small and large groups of business stakeholders and senior leadership
* Strong facilitation skills and possess good organization, communication, collaboration, and writing skills
* Detail-oriented with respect to documentation and communication
