Lead the global sales team effort to identify and build a long term active pipeline, exploring both existing markets and targeting new market opportunities. Lead sales strategy and negotiations on key regional and global pursuits. Lead interactions in a client-facing role in large global pursuits. Develop and build long-term professional customer relationships with existing, new and potential clients. Foster a positive and successful sales culture across all business units in the global business. Lead the development and delivery of exceptional sales and tender documents and presentations, in line with CBRE Data Center Solutions standards. Effectively leverage the sales support functions and subject matter expert resources to create winning outcomes. Raise the company and business profile by representing CBRE at industry events, high level networking and promoting CBRE s culture and values. Collaborate with the Regional Managing Directors Sales leaders to develop strategy and tactics to accomplish the retention and acquisition of clients/markets. Coordination and governance of sales activity throughout the sales process including qualification, discovery, proposal, pricing presentation and negotiation. Evaluates industry and business trends and analyzes performance and responds with necessary business change. Manage and develop the Business Development Manager s/Sales Executives, ensuring they have the appropriate support and learning experiences to allow them to be successful. EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from four-year college or university and a minimum of eight years of related experience and/or training. Master's degree (MA/MS) preferred. Previous supervisory experience required. CERTIFICATES and/or LICENSES COMMUNICATION SKILLS Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret the most complex business documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive issues. Ability to write reports, manuals, speeches and articles using distinctive style. Ability to make effective and persuasive presentations on complex topics to employees, clients, top management and/or public groups. Ability to motivate and negotiate effectively with key employees, top management, and client groups to take desired action. FINANCIAL KNOWLEDGE Requires in-depth knowledge of financial terms and principles. Reviews complex financial/business analysis and reports prepared by subordinates. Ability to analyze the most complex business/financial data and develop innovative solutions. Develops and implements financial policies and procedures. Approves and oversees department budget. REASONING ABILITY Ability to solve advanced problems and deal with a variety of options in complex situations. Requires expert level analytical and quantitative skills with proven experience in developing strategic solutions for a growing matrix-based multi-industry sales environment. Draws upon the analysis of others and makes recommendations that have a direct impact on the company. OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, and intranet/internet. Ability to use work order system. Working knowledge and understanding of architectural, electrical and mechanical systems. Understanding of leases, contracts and related documents. SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY Decisions made with in-depth understanding and interpretation of procedures, company policies and business practices to achieve complex results. Responsible for setting project, department and/or division deadlines. Errors in judgment may cause long-term impact to line of business and/or overall company.
