As Senior Director, Global Human Resources Consulting and Delivery, you will report to the Chief People Officer and will be responsible for leading our Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) function. You'll ensure the timely and quality delivery of HR programs and coach and guide HRBPs in their day-to-day work. You will work with Blackboard's executive team to ensure alignment and collaboration with business priorities and objectives. You'll also partner with the HR leadership team to spearhead the development of HR strategies and approaches to attract, develop, engage, and retain talent across the globe. Specific responsibilities will include: * Establishing, leading, developing, and managing the HRBP and HR Shared Services teams supporting our global teams in more than 20 countries ◦ Enabling and improving performance by continually raising the bar on performance ◦ Driving consistency across various business groups * Collaborating with the HR leadership team to ensure shared HR short- and long-term department strategies and objectives are aligned to the business, driving the optimization of the organization's human capital * Participating in the organization's senior leadership team and providing a balanced perspective, leveraging workforce analytics and global human capital expertise * Providing strategic direction informed by business priorities and competitive HR best practices for the team through directing, designing, and implementing HR programs ◦ Talent Management ◦ Succession Planning ◦ Performance Management ◦ Management Training ◦ On-boarding ◦ Internal Communications ◦ Workforce Management * Ensuring compliance by providing expertise, leadership, and ownership of policies and procedures, working closely with internal and external employment counsel across the globe * Supporting the business through close alignment and consultation on strategic hiring initiatives * Balancing employee advocacy and partnership with business leaders * Collaborating with learning and development, compensation, benefits, and recruiting in service of developing and implementing HR programs * Driving development and use of HR analytics to inform business in human capital decisions * Supporting the company culture * Understanding and supporting organizational design supporting company objectives * Acting as a change leader * Understanding compensation and benefits consulting with business The Candidate: * Has a bachelor's degree in Business, Psychology, Human Resources, or related field; MBA or MA preferred * Has 10+ years of progressive HR experience with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership capacity managing professionals * Has 5+ years of global HR experience * Senior-level professional certification is a plus * Has proven experience leading and developing a team of professional HR employees * Has excellent communication skills with a strong ability to build and foster relationships * Is highly skilled at employee relations at all levels of an organization * Has a strong HR generalist background which includes compensation, employee relations, and learning and professional development * Is detail-oriented, organized, and able to work collaboratively with global teams and diverse populations * Has strong influencing and coaching skills * Can perform in a fast-paced environment and under pressure * Has excellent analytical skills and a working knowledge of project management tools * Is proficient in MS Excel and can incorporate data analysis into ongoing reports * Has strong learning and change agility * Has superior consulting skills * Can travel globally as needed The Team & Office: Blackboard has an office in the vibrant Plaza America in Reston, VA. * Countless walkable places to eat lunch or dinner within the plaza including Grill Kabob, Mod Pizza, Brown Bag, and The Melting Pot * Free drinks in the office * Half a mile from Reston Town Center * Accessible via Metro - Wiehle-Reston East- Silver line (approx. 1 mile from office) This job description is not designed to contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required.
