Director of Human Resources Department: ADMIN Location: Reston, VA START YOUR APPLICATION Title: Director of Human Resources Department: Shelter House, Inc. Reports to: Executive Director & CEO FLSA Status: Exempt Summary of Position: The Director of Human Resources provides human resources guidance and support to the organization. This individual serves as the lead point of contact to management and staff on all issues related to human resources including: talent acquisition, performance management, personnel policy, employee risk management and employee relations issues. S/he takes a lead role in developing strategic human resources goals, objectives, and systems in alignment with the Shelter House strategic plan. S/he also assists in the development and evaluation of organization-wide programs, benefit offerings and new initiatives and recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of the human resources department. Qualifications: Required: * Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field or commensurate experience * A minimum of four years of Human Resources experience Preferred: * Knowledge of homeless services operations * PHR/ SPHR certification * Experience with Google apps * Experience with Paylocity online payroll solutions * Experience with Clear Company onboarding solutions Physical Requirements: * Ability to sit or stand for long periods * Ability to lift items weighing 10-20 pounds Equal Opportunity Employer.
