VariQ has an exciting opportunity for a Transition Manager in the Washington DC area. Additional Information: Location: Cincinnati, OH and Washington, DC Available: upon award Salary: competitive market rate, dependent upon experience Security Clearance: ability to attain a public trust (MBI) clearance required Responsibilities Serves as the Transition Program Manager for a large and complex O&M and development program and shall assist the Program Manager in transition efforts. Will have the ability to devise, implement, and control a Transition Management Plan to include the following elements: Transition Overview - Description of the current state, immediate future state, constraints and assumptions, transition funding requirements, and transition dependencies both internal to the Contractor and external to the contract and transition activities/requirements that must be accomplished by the Government. Transition Stakeholders and Impacts - Description of the stakeholders affected by the transition, organizations supporting and maintaining the business system, and transition points of contact. Risk Management - Description of all risks associated with the transition, potential outcomes, and associated mitigation plans. Business and Support Process Transition Approach - Description of the transition strategy to integrate the new vendor into existing business and support processes, including an overview of key processes and the transition approach for each. Systems Transition Approach - Description of the transition strategy, transition management activities, implementation challenges, transition deliverables, transition acceptance criteria, critical success factors, and transfer of system documentation. Work plan and schedule of transition management activities - A description of the work breakdown structure and the transition schedule including timeframes, key milestones, and deliverables. Communications Management - Description of the activities to be performed by the Contractor to ensure the proper flow of information among all key stakeholders (Government, incumbent Contractor, new Contractor). Planning and Analysis Activities - Incorporating the information gathered during Inventory Activities and developing a plan of action to accomplish the stated objectives of this transition at a minimum cost within the specified time period. Implementation/Execution Activities - Performing the actions developed in the Planning and Analysis Activities and accomplishing the stated objectives of this transition. Qualifications An active PMP Bachelor's Degree or higher and 4 years of IT Project Management experience, 2 of which include transition activities on a program of 35 FTEs or larger. Must be able to obtain an IRS Minimum Background Investigation (MBI) security clearance. VariQ is an equal opportunity employer.
