JOB DESCRIPTION: The SOC Cybersecurity Network Engineer III supports the network design activities that encompass multiple enclaves, to include those with differing data protection/classification requirements. The candidate will perform installation, configuration and operational use of network security devices including; firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and network traffic analyzers. Performs installation, configuration and operational use of anti-virus, anti-spyware, and commercial computer forensic tools and products. Candidate should have experience collecting on-net signatures for network security devices and identify those signatures that are unique to a particular device. Supports CNO developers by evaluating CNO tools and techniques with the above mentioned security products and tools. Must be able to assume responsibility for the maintenance, upgrades, monitoring, troubleshooting and problem diagnosis/resolution for all network devices (eg, Cisco, Juniper, N01tel, etc). This position requires candidate to be able to produce written reports on results of evaluations. Must be able to provide technical recommendations to management and support teams in maintaining the IT architecture to mirror and keep informed of all Agency IT networks structures. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & SKILLS: Minimum ten (10) years' experience in computer science, information systems, or network engineering. Certifications in MCSE, RHCE, CEH, CCNA, or CISSP preferred, Minimum six (6) years' experience with system (Windows, Linux, and Solaris) and network configurations, Minimum three (3) years' experience with CNO security networking Minimum five (5) years of experience in computer security products on design, installation, configuration and operational use. Technical writing skills capable of accurately describing lab design, tool usage, and tool testing procedures. REQUIRED EDUCATION (including Major): Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Engineering or related technical field. SECURITY CLEARANCE: Qualified applicants may be subject to a security investigation and must meet minimum qualifications for access to classified information. US Citizenship and an active TS/SCI with Polygraph Security Clearance is required.
