We are seeking a Senior Director, whose responsibilities include furthering association projects related to practice advancement, transformation and innovation; the development of practice tools/resources; serving as a subject matter expert and resource on patient care service delivery, documentation and billing; monitoring of key practice issues and providing outreach representation of the association; and engagement of members on completion of work contributing to the practice and professional affairs workplan. The Primary Responsibilities Are: Lead, direct, and/or participate in efforts to advance strategic priorities related to the innovation and transformation of pharmacy practice; the development, implementation of patient care services for patients; the advancement of health information technology in pharmacy practice; and support for efforts to secure payment for and provide resources that support pharmacists provided patient care services. Contribute to the advancement of the Association's continuing professional development initiatives including advancement of the community-based pharmacy residency initiative, pharmacist credentialing, practice-based continuing professional education and professional development programs Serve as an Association representative and subject matter expert on practice and professional affairs related topics to internal and external stakeholders and coalitions. Provide support to APhA on behalf of the Practice and Science Affairs and Professional Affairs Departments; contribute to the management of department business operations; support leadership and membership engagement; and completion of other duties as assigned. Education Required: Doctor of Pharmacy degree. PGY1 Pharmacy residency strongly preferred. Experience Required: 5 to 7 years of pharmacy practice and management experience is required. Prior professional association experience is preferred. Extensive prior experience as a residency program director or preceptor strongly preferred. Practice-based or Academic formal teaching experience.
