Our client provides total-service planning and design, custom fabrication, installation and audio-visual /media systems services throughout the United States and abroad. Their Clients include museums, educational institutions, visitor and information centers, science and nature centers, trade shows, theme parks and major expositions. Detailers are responsible for producing drawings which meet our customers expectations in preparation for production. They are required to gather information and produce shop drawings for specific projects, review drawings for accuracy, revise and update drawings for approval by customers, and prepare technical drawings for production. The Detailer will need to gather more information on a project from management or check with production to insure conformity to specifications and production capabilities. Daily Tasks and Responsibilities: AutoCAD expertise producing two-dimensional shop drawings. Autodesk Inventor/Vault expertise in producing three-dimensional models and shop drawings synthesized from design and engineering documents, including Architectural, Structural, and MEP. Candidate should possess knowledge of Bills of Material and material properties. Must be able to demonstrate strong drafting skills. Must be able to work creatively, perform self-directed product research, and provide workable solutions to highly imaginative design challenges with minimum supervision. Must be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with team members and outside professionals. Experience in exhibits fabrication, trade show fabrication, architectural millwork, high-end cabinetry or interior build out is preferred. Hands-on experience with shop fabrication techniques, equipment, and processes a plus. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, required. Requirements: 3 years CAD experience producing 2D and 3D shop drawings utilizing AutoCAD 1 year(s) Autodesk Inventor experience using a recent release, including demonstrable experience in modeling and producing shop construction documents in a networked production environment. Experience in exhibits fabrication, architectural millwork, cabinetry or interior build out is preferred Hands-on experience with wood, metal or acrylic fabrication techniques, equipment and shop processes is preferred Trade School or an Associate Degree in related field required. BS in Engineering or Technology preferred.
