CTC has an opportunity for a qualified Civil Structural Engineer in Arlington, VA . CIVIL STRUCTURAL ENGINEER Primary Responsibilities: CTC is seeking a Civil/Structural Engineer to support Department of Defense clients across their installation energy, water & wastewater mission assurance portfolio. The candidate will focus on risk-to-mission assessments and sensitivity analyses and processes specifically to identify those systems, subsystems, enabling systems (eg communications), assets, links and nodes most critical to capabilities required in the accomplishment of an organization's mission. The ideal candidate would have technical knowledge and background on design, repair and rehabilitation of constructed works, and investigation and performance evaluation of structures. The individual will assist with advisement and technical weigh in on new or existing structures, design evaluation, failure or problem mitigation investigation, costing of repair and replacement of structure design for existing buildings and steel structures. The individual will support the analysis of below surface concrete underground infrastructure networks and systems. Tasks will include collecting, processing, and managing mission and installation data, model formulation, stakeholder engagement, and coordinating with team members to conduct in-depth mission resilience analyses. The individual will be responsible for communicating processes and results to various audiences to get stakeholder buy-in, collect data, inform decision makers, and train users. Serve as a senior level civil / structural engineer developing, promoting, and applying sound plan development, government client advisement for construction support, and maintenance for the structural components of federal navy projects. Basic Qualification: Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited college or university. 5 years of Engineering experience in a related field. Thorough understanding of structural analysis principals and design, material selection and design, reinforced concrete design (ACI), steel design (AISC), code compliance, and structure stability analyses. Preferred Qualifications: MS in Civil/Structural Engineering At least 2 or more years with DoD civil engineering project experience Must possess the ability to communicate directly with government clients, architects, contractors, other design professionals and building officials. Working knowledge of the latest UFCs, UFGS, NFPA Clearance: US citizenship required. The candidate must have the ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Top Secret clearance for this position.
