Reporting to the Manager of Infrastructure Services, the Systems Engineer II supports the Division s Systems Engineering Services department. The Systems Engineer II is responsible for the design, deployment, and operations of Infrastructure Services including on and off-premises systems, storage, and networks. The Systems Engineer II is responsible for technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure and the organization. This individual will lead technical recommendations and projects as well as training staff and provide higher tier troubleshooting. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated ability in designing, deploying, and administrating Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) solutions as well as demonstrated ability in performance analysis and capacity planning as well as mentoring others. Qualifications Demonstrated knowledge of architecture and deployment features, to include industry standard virtualization platforms and operating systems, multi-tenancy, orchestration, etc. Act as, or work in collaboration with existing Subject Matter Experts to the organization for cloud-centric architectures, including AWS and future providers, networking, standardized provision and operational management methodologies.
