PeopleSoft System Administrator - Remote Metaformers, Inc. is seeking an experienced PeopleSoft System Administrator. The role requires a broad array of knowledge and skills supporting a 24x7x365 operation using hosted environments. Primary responsibilities include: installing and refreshing non-production environments, issue resolution in these environments, coordinating migration of customizations, updates, and bug fixes across PeopleSoft instances and user security maintenance. You will also analyze, design, builds, configure, validate, maintain and troubleshoot existing and new application environments. Job Responsibilities: Install a new PeopleSoft instance including building the database. Install PeopleSoft application software and third-party tools and build web server, application server, and process scheduler instances for all PeopleSoft applications. Use of PUM (PeopleSoft Upgrade Manager) to apply selective application updates. Use of Change Assistant to install updates and fixes, perform Tools upgrade, and apply Tax Updates. Monitor applications to optimize performance and resource use. Monitor and maintain security in cooperation with PeopleSoft security administrators. Provide advice to applications programmers in troubleshooting, exception processing needs, and other data management issues. Work on complex tasks, projects, or support issues that involve a high level of risk, that impact performance of SAO PeopleSoft applications, or make use of the individual high level of knowledge within one or more areas of specialty. Work with DBAs to get migrations that need DBA work completed . Work with technical developers and set up Integration Broker to communicate and exchange data between other PeopleSoft and non-PeopleSoft applications. Use of WebLogic console for monitoring and troubleshooting web server issues. Use of Tuxedo command line interface for application server/process scheduler trouble. Skills and Qualifications: Bachelors degree in related field or equivalent experience. 7 years administering Windows, Linux and Solaris servers and/or in software development. Demonstrated and applied experience with installation, configuration and maintenance of Server and Computer Systems. Expience in use of operating systems, servers and clients. Demonstrated and applied experience with installing, configuring and maintenance of environments in hosted solutions. Experience with OCI or OCI-C a plus. Experience configuring and supporting integrations within PeopleSoft and with non-PeopleSoft applications. Demonstrated and applied experience with cloud templates, infrastructure/application scripting, and operationalizing applications in the cloud (HA, DR, Backup/Recovery, Security, etc). Experience defining and deploying monitoring, metrics, and logging systems on Oracle IaaS. 5 years experience with PeopleTools 9.x/8.5x and PeopleSoft Internet Architecture and supporting PeopleSoft Financials, HCM, and Portal. 5 years experience with PeopleSoft Integration Broker, PeopleSoft Upgrade Assistant (PUM), and Change Assistant tools. Strong troubleshooting skills related to the PeopleSoft application, networking, and operating systems. Comfortable working independently as well as cross functionally within the team and with the client. Strong communication skills at all levels of the organization, both oral and written. Proven track record of exercising good judgment and track record of effective delivery.
