Job Summary The Program Director is responsible for ensuring excellent service delivery to our customer onsite. This person will provide leadership to an established, high-profile Software Development contract in the Washington, DC area. The ideal candidate is a recognized problem-solver with superior people skills who is both proactive and insightful. This leader collaborates with the team and the customer on a daily basis to stay abreast of any concerns or issues. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: He/she provides oversight to the multiple projects led by multiple project managers, utilizing both direct and subcontracted labor Managerial oversight is required for the financial, subcontract management and Human Capital well-being of the contract, with a primary focus of ensuring delivery excellence and PnL responsibilities are achieved Ideal candidate would have a focus on tactical and strategic customer relationship management as well as being able to seamlessly integrate with project, program, and division and segment organizations Experience in collaborating with business development and capture teams is preferred Experience in managing and delivering content for proposals to the customer is required This person must possess a strong background in quality and agile development practices as well as familiarity with a wide array of open source technologies and DevSecOps tools and practices The candidate must have experience in managing delivery in an integrated environment where multiple service teams produce and deliver discreet components and services to create a successful product/outcome By examining performance metrics across the program and monitoring deliverables, he/she will ensure conformance with program tasks and schedules, performance, and contractual obligations The position will develop and deliver program status briefings to the CIO, Directors, and corporate leadership Education and Experience Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Business or related discipline. An MBA or Master Degree in Engineering Management, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or related discipline is preferred Minimum of (10) ten years as a program manager leading large, complex programs in a federal government environment Minimum (5) five years' experience managing teams of 50 members Minimum of (5) five years' experience managing multiple concurrent development efforts valued at $2Million annually SAFe certification Knowledge of Agile methodologies PMP Certification ITIL v3 Foundations Certification The Director Account/Program Manager is responsible for ensuring excellent service delivery to our customer onsite. Participates in corporate development of methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for projects, programs, and people. Ensures budgets and schedules meet corporate requirements. Regularly interacts with executives and/or major customers. Interactions frequently involve special skills, such as negotiating with customers or management or attempting to influence senior level leaders regarding matters of significance to the organization.
