IBM BigFix Administrator responsible for the administration, maintenance, monitoring and support of computing operations. The primary responsibilities of this position will be patch management, script creation, client imaging, inventory/reporting, and application deployments through BigFix. The candidate will also be required to deploy and implement enhancements that will improve the reliability, maintainability, and performance of the systems. This role will be both internal and client facing with remote and onsite support as many sites have distribution points. RESPONSIBILITIES Apply security updates and patches using BigFix to 15000 endpoints on a monthly basis. Create and test custom software packages per customer request. Develop PowerShell scripts to scan for current Internet Explorer, Adobe Reader and Adobe Acrobat versions. Ensure correct installation, configuration, use and maintenance of the Microsoft SCCM Platform. Understand the configuration and management of Distribution Points and creating packages to test in lower environments. Tier III / High-Level Support for Ops Team on a 24/7 basis. Design / Develop Operational Processes to Maintain Enterprise-Level (10K End-Points) Desktops in Active Directory. Manage deployment of all patches, critical updates and service packs on a timely basis according to Information Security policy. Includes Servers and EndPoints. Create / Update Systems Documentation and Operations Standards / Procedures. Distributed software and security updates via IBM BigFix Endpoint Manager, Windows System Update Server (WSUS), and System Configuration Center Management (SCCM). Create new workstation name and associated proper software, distribution group, and security group per customer request after verify by Service Request Management Department (SRM). Perform in-depth analysis on computer systems to ensure assets are compliant with Department of Defense Operational Directives. Coordinate and synchronized with Cyber Systems and Network Department in a weekly basis. Monitor Security Center and utilized IBM Endpoint Management Systems / Microsoft System Center to proactively patching security updates. Develop PowerShell Script / BigFix Fixlets / SCCM packages to uninstall / install / updates software remotely. REQUIREMENTS 6 years of combined work/military experience, education, and/or technical training. Must possess at minimum current Active Secret Clearance. DoD 8570 Compliance to include current CompTIA Security CE with expiration date no less than 6 months. DoD 8570 Compliance with current Vendor Certifications. Intermediate level experience using BigFix to manage a large-scale Enterprise environment with multiple Domains. Intermediate level experience troubleshooting server issues and diagnosing root cause of issue. Ensure correct installation, configuration, use and maintenance of the Microsoft SCCM Platform. Create and Manage application deployment objects for new and existing software. Assist with the creation of the Distribution Points (starting with making sure that all the pre-requisites are met before the creation, ie Firewall settings, Rights, Roles and Features, etc. and them making it a DP and then distributing all the needed content). Monitoring the status of all the DPs and coordinating with the LAN Admins if DPs were unreachable\unavailable. Assist LAN Admins with install/upgrade issues related to SCCM on all models. Assist with creating Boundary and Boundary Groups. Assist LAN Admins with setting DHCP scope options. Work with network team on any communication issues related to content distribution. Establish and maintain self-provisioning pool of applications. Maintain ongoing communications with support teams regarding application issue resolution and general workstation Management support. Develop Corporate / Divisional IT Strategic / Tactical Plans. Identify / Assess / Recommend Designs / Changes to Microsoft System Center. Support Design / Development / Operations of Microsoft System Center 2012 R2 - SCCM / SCOM / Orchestrator, etc. Maintain Application Packaging Standards / Desktop Standards / Hardware Imaging / OS Patches, etc. Implement / Support Security Policies / Audits - Troubleshoot / Resolve Security Permissions Issues. Interface with Systems Admins to improve Operational Processes, Standards, etc. Troubleshooting software package deployment. ACAS Reporting and remediation. Perform DISA STIG check and requested GPO. Develop PowerShell scripts to scan for current Internet Explorer, Adobe Reader and Adobe Acrobat versions. Distribute software and security updates via IBM Endpoint Manager, Windows System Update Server (WSUS), and System Configuration Center Management (SCCM). Preferred Qualifications nice to have but not required. Ability to Administer, maintain, and troubleshoot Distribution Points / Relays related issues across the regions. Perform in-depth analysis on computer systems to ensure assets are compliant with Department of Defense Operational Directives. Coordinate and synchronize with Cyber Systems and Network Department in a weekly basis. Monitor Security Center and utilized IBM Endpoint Management Systems / Microsoft System Center to proactively patching security updates.
