Cybersecurity Specialist, Lead

Key Role:

Support manager to assess and advise to improve Cybersecurity defenses, analyze and define security requirements for Multilevel Security (MLS) issues, and design, develop, engineer, and implement solutions to MLS requirements. Identify information assurance (IA) and Cybersecurity issues in design and system engineering forums. Maintain responsibility for planning and monitoring of Cybersecurity and privacy policies, programs, compliance artifacts, and standards in support of government and industry security compliance, systems accreditation and management. Assist with review of accreditation packages, reporting security status in various systems and boards, and leverage expertise in implementation of DoD Army IA policies and regulations. Assist with maintenance compliance of custom-built software IAW stated security policies using code-scanning approaches, and maintain responsibility for accreditation documentation, privileged access agreements, and change management agreements. Work under supervision. Assist with managing information security implications within the organization and in defining organizations' preferred state and risk thresholds and analyze actual state of information to assess compliance.

Basic Qualifications:

-12+ years of experience in DoD and Army strategy, Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA), Risk Management Framework (RMF), or Cybersecurity CISSP

-Knowledge of DoD Directive 8500.1 Information Assurance

-Knowledge of NIST 800-53, Security and Privacy Controls for Federal Information Systems and Organizations

-Ability to maintain accreditation documentation and agreements

-Active Secret clearance

-HS diploma or GED

-CompTIA Security+ certification or ability to attain certification within 90 days

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience in transitioning from DIACAP to RMF assessments

-Knowledge of Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and FISMA

-Ability to collaborate and build relationships with cross-functional teams

-BA or BS degree IT or Cybersecurity

-DoD 8570 certified DoD Information Assurance Workforce Improvement Program policy

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.
