Dewberry is currently looking for a Survey Party Chief to perform a variety of tasks associated with land surveying, GIS and civil engineering projects in our Lanham, MD office location. The selected candidate will have a track-record for understanding the importance of ownership of a given project or task and the value of a quality deliverable to our diverse client base. A minimum of 5 years of working experience as a Party Chief Ability to operate Robotic Total Stations and fluent in GPS, static, RTK and RTN collection protocols Familiarity with Trimble TSC3 or T-10 Data Collectors Familiarity with Trimble Business Center software a plus Sufficient knowledge to handle most survey-related tasks in the field to include the ability to review and understand construction drawings and perform associated layout Experienced in reading and understanding deeds and plats Experienced in recovery of boundary evidence in the field Ability to collect as-built and topographic data, provide sketches and work with survey technicians to develop superior mapping products Ability to work under rigorous conditions Utility locating experience a plus Excellent communication skillsMust be reliable Additional Requirements: Must understand the importance of the deliverable and have a track record of ownership with regard to all projects and assignments and be a team playerHave the ability to work out of town, flexible with work areaMust have a valid driver's licnese, clean driving record and be able to maintain a valid driver’s license in order to operate company vehicleMust be able to pass drug/alcohol screeningPhysically able to work outdoors in all weather conditions and terrains.Ability to repetitively stoop, crawl, bend at the knees and waist, squat and lift 50 lbs; includes body weight, equipment, tools and boxes, in addition to ability to stand for long periods of time on varied surfaces *At this time, Dewberry will not sponsor a new applicant for work authorization.*Dewberry is an Equal Opportunity/ Affirmative Action Employer.
