Let's make an impact together.Perspecta is an AA/EEO Employer - Minorities/Women/Veterans/Disabled and other protected categories Responsibilities Description:The candidate will be part of the Modeling & Analysis Team (End-to-End Analysis) which provides broad enterprise performance systems engineering, analytic skills, and expertise to address a wide range of performance analysis needs. Delivers quantitative full scope engineering analysis support for a complex system of systems through tasks outlined in Specific Task Responsibilities below. Conducts logical analysis of management problems and develops multivariate analysis, linear modeling, and data mining. Uses computer technology, computer modeling, spreadsheet applications, software tools, and programming languages. Analyses data and conducts advanced statistical analyses and applies mathematical calculations. Presents findings and recommendations to appropriate groups and helps to determine what actionable steps can be taken based on the findings. Communicates and trains users on model results. Prepares written, non-technical reports to management, indicating analytical finding and models. Guides predictive analytics model development. Interfaces with customer and helps define work process. May estimate time frames, quality and quantity of resources required to successfully implement project; develops project plan incorporating all project variables. May establish criteria concerning deliverability, performance, maintenance, design and costs. May conduct periodic status checks with customers and team to assess progress against plan. May perform re-forecasts of project variables as necessary throughout project and prepare routine status reports on all project activities. May be assigned leadership responsibilities for the function Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Determine customer analysis requirements while defining project scope and managing analytical product deliverable schedules Support systems engineering technical exchanges and meetings Develop analysis reports and briefings to present to varying levels of government customersAnalyze detailed system requirements and specifications for large, distributed architectures Translate satellite technical data information into model parameters for a complex, bespoke orbital modeling programApply knowledge of orbital mechanics, aerospace and physics to model technical parameters of satellites; validate models as part of a small teamOperate and modify software within a Unix platform workspaceApply a working knowledge of SAS, R, Python or other data modeling languages to modify or develop pre- and post-processing sequences for satellite performance modelingQuery large relational data sets using Transactional SQL, applying intermediate concepts such as primary / foreign keying and joining to derive meaningful conclusions regarding performance of intelligence systemsPerform Modeling & Simulation to determine mission impacts of near and long term future enterprise capabilities spanning the entire tasking, collection, processing, exploitation and dissemination (TCPED) cycle for providing geospatial information supportLead the development of predictive analysis to determine future data trends and assess potential chokepoints and system performance issues while evaluating key performance indicatorsCoordinate future acquisition and development activities to enable the modeling and simulation of the to-be capability state Qualifications RequiredActive TS/SCI ClearanceBachelor's or Master's degree in engineering (aerospace, mechanical, electrical, software), physics, mathematics, or similar technical discipline 3+ years of experience with systems analysis, systems engineering, modeling and performance analysis Knowledge of orbital mechanics, aerospace and physics in the context of satellite operation and remote sensing.Knowledge of remote sensing collection performance; detailed understanding of end-to-end Satellite engineeringExperience with modeling, simulation and analysis through application of SAS, R, Python or other data modeling languages, T-SQL or other relational query languages, and Unix-based tools and applicationsAbility to interpret requirements, specifications and CONOPs documentsExperience in leading or performing data analytics and assessments, projects and/or studiesExcellent analytical and problem solving skills; experience using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative technical solutions or approaches to problemsExcellent presentation and communication skillsAbility to clearly explain technical issues to technical and non-technical audiences; Excellent oral presentation and writing skillsAbility to work independently or within a team environmentDesired Qualifications:Working knowledge of intelligence community satellite engineering, remote sensing and/or geospatial programsExperience developing visualizations in ArcGIS to synthesize synthetic and known geospatial data, for modeling purposesExperience applying FORTRAN and C languages in the development of large-scale modeling and simulation software applicationsExperience in multi-INT analysis and demonstrations
