We're looking for a systems administrator to operate and maintain devices operating Microsoft Windows, and Linux Operating Systems across security domains with privileged and regular user accounts. Ability to use open-source licensing, virtualize the supporting server suite and administration, and eliminate unnecessary services/hardware to reduce annual sustainment costs over the life of the systems. Support the optimizing of system operation and resource utilization and perform system capacity analysis and planning. Monitor and provide operators visibility into the health and status of IT infrastructure. Ability to resolve and document faults, problems, Cybersecurity corrective actions, and restoration of operational activities to minimize downtime-outages and manage events as they occur. Assist with users in accessing and using business systems.
As a systems administrator on our project, you'll ensure the current infrastructure is functional and available, constantly look for ways to make the infrastructure better using the latest technology and the best implementation strategies, and update and patch critical systems. You'll provide your customers insight into their network through monitoring and performance management. Your technical expertise will be vital as you identify problem areas and opportunities for improvement in a mission critical network. You'll help your team better understand the network by turning metrics into information and explaining their meaning. This is an opportunity to broaden your skillset into areas like Cyber security and cloud computing. - 8+ years of experience in Cybersecurity, CS, information systems, or software engineering
- Ability to use code-scanning software and address known issues and unplanned events
- Knowledge of Unix or NT based operating systems
- Active Secret clearance
- HS diploma or GED
- CompTIA Security+ certification or ability to attain certification within 90 days
Nice If You
- Experience with Microsoft SQL Server
- Knowledge of SharePoint and Microsoft Office products
- Knowledge in programming in an administrative language, including C, and C++
- BA or BS degree in CS, Information Systems or Software Engineering
