Director of Manufacturing Technology Baltimore, MD - Blueprint Robotics, Inc. seeks a Director of Manufacturing Technology to direct, plan, and implement activities involving Weinmann CNC (computer numerical control) manufacturing equipment. Worksite: 1500 Broening Highway, Baltimore, MD 21224 Job Title: Director of Manufacturing Technology Full-time position performing the following duties: Direct, plan, and implement activities involving Weinmann CNC (computer numerical control) manufacturing equipment, to include hardware, software, and installation of new machines. Manage manufacturing operations involving multiple, parallel production lines running Weinmann CNC machinery, including multi-functional bridges, framing stations, tables, and saws. Operate, set up, calibrate, troubleshoot, and maintain Weinmann CNC machinery, including multi-functional bridges, framing stations, tables, and saws. Provide training and direction to engineers and manufacturing employees in the use of Weinmann CNC equipment, including teaching them how to operate and maintain Weinmann CNC machines and timber frame manufacturing principles. Establish engineering protocols and procedures for operating Weinmann CNC machines. Apply understanding of structural requirements as they relate to residential wood frame construction. Perform pre-fabrication of closed panels for wood frame residential homes. Install and assemble pre-fabricated, closed wood frame panels for residential homes. Analyze technical implications of design concept and the relationship to manufacturing disciplines. Read, interpret, verify, and correct BTL and WUP file formats. Maintain current knowledge of industry trends with regards to building science methodologies and residential design and ensure that projects consider these key factors. Ensure projects are being completed by others on time and correctly so finished product can be installed within scheduled time frame. Supervise staff and managers. Manage the Manufacturing Department budget. Organize and prepare materials on safety, quality, production rates, overtime rates, material consumption, and waste rates for presentation to internal managers. Perform other related duties as assigned. Job Requirements: Five (5) years of experience with each of the following: Management of manufacturing operations with multiple, parallel production lines; Installation and assembly of pre-fabricated, closed wood frame panels for residential homes; Weinmann CNC operating system; and Training and directing employees in the use of Weinmann CNC equipment.
