As a Technology Sales and Marketing Lead, you will support the sales and marketing of airport technology solutions with an emphasis on researching and generating sales leads.

Technology Sales and Marketing Lead

This is a non-career, term job.

Serves in the Technology Business Development and Sales (TBDS) Department of the Office of Technology in the Headquarters Office.

Supports the TBDS Department in the sales and marketing of airport technology solutions with an emphasis on researching and generating sales leads. Develops and executes a marketing strategy; promotes technology products through a variety of channels. Seeks out new business leads, develops and updates marketing materials, tracks budget and expenses, and maintains database of customers. Performs related functions.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Performs a range of internal sales and marketing services for promoting airport technology solutions.

Develops and executes a marketing strategy; collaborates with other team members within the TBDS Department to work jointly towards the group's overall mission.

Seeks out new business leads, makes cold calls, and maintains and grows a social media presence.

Develops and updates marketing collateral materials, including developing and maintaining the brand image for products and entities in a consistent manner.

Creates, maintains and ensures timely content updates for a range of written material for a broad range of audiences, including product Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs), instruction manuals, website content, presentations, marketing flyers and more.

Uses a Customer Relationship Management system (CRM) or other tools to track customers and other information.

Manages, tracks, and reports on budget, expenses, and revenue of the TBDS Department.

Plans, coordinates, and carries out team participation in industry events and conferences including the design, delivery and setup of promo booths and coordination with all involved participants, both internal and external.

Attends events and conferences to deliver presentations and talks and promote technology solutions to a varied audience.

Establishes and develops relationships with potential clients and external agencies.

Assists other team members as needed in a range of other tasks to support the group's overall mission.

Performs other duties as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS

Four years of progressively responsible experience in IT or technology sales and marketing.

Baseline knowledge of current technology (such as mobile apps and devices, web and social media, and other technology trends) and the ability to develop associated marketing materials.

Ability to make detailed analyses of data and information and make recommendations, with emphasis on market data.

Ability to work independently, taking the lead on tasks and completing the task with a high degree of quality and timeliness.

Ability to understand technical information and communicate it in a clear manner for a broad range of audiences.

Skill in using a computer and office software, with emphasis on software needed for making presentations and marketing materials.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience making sales “cold calls”.

Experience using Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) to design promotional materials.

Experience using Customer Relationship Management systems (CRM).


EDUCATION

A Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Communications, Marketing, Business, or related field.


CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES REQUIRED

A state driver's license in good standing.


NECESSARY SPECIAL FACTORS

Work may require occasional travel, such as participation in trade shows, conferences, and sales missions.

Work is typically reviewed in progress and upon completion for quantity, quality, timeliness, customer service, team work, and adherence to guidelines.
