SR. Application Support Engineer
SR. Application Support Engineer for Retail Services + Systems, Inc. dba Total Wine + More to work at our Bethesda, MD loc. Provide level 3 app support – tech analysis + root cause determination. Use debug tools to ID root causes, errors, + memory leaks, work on critical, high-vis business processes, investigate prod support tix, + solve prod issues. Monitor sys + db perf proactively + react to perf issues. Investigate prod support tix for custom apps + provide sols. Use APM tools to ID perf bottlenecks + perform optimizations. Work closely w/ infrastructure team to understand network + infrastructure bottlenecks. Engage business stakeholders to ID + resolve issues. Analyze SQL + C#/.NET code to ID probs + rec corrections. Impl changes to SQL, C#/.NET, WCF, + ETL code. Suggest improvements to efficiency. Collaborate w/ devs to impl software enhancements. May undergo background checks incl drug screen. Successful completion of analytical exam. Must have Master’s in Comp Sci, Tech, or rel field and 3 yrs software dev exp. or Bach in Comp Sci, Tech, or rel field and 5 yrs software dev exp. Also reqs the following skills (3 yrs exp) in: debugging using Visual Studio and SQL Server Management Studio; T-SQL; translating technical concepts into language for non-technical stakeholders; .NET framework; memory leaks situations and performance issues in C#/.NET code base; client/server development using C#, ADO.NET, Visual Studio, XML/XSL, SOAP, SOA, WCF and Web Services; Agile concepts and processes, incl Scrum and Kanban.
