REQUIREMENTS: Current Maryland 1st grade Stationary Engineers license (nice to have) 3-5 years'experience in building automation controls (no apprentice's) Requires in-depth knowledge of various maintenance fundamentals sufficient to deal with service and repairs. PRINCIPLE DUTIES: Building Automation System lead technician. Operating, troubleshooting and make repair to the BAS. Work closely with Siemens technician on periodic maintenance of the BAS system. Cooling Tower operation. Conducted daily chemical tests on cooling towers. Ensuring correct operation and balance of 8 Marley cooling towers. Chiller maintenance. Performs weekly, monthly and quarterly maintenance on 5 Trane chillers. Assist contractors with annual maintenance, eddy current testing and repairs to the chillers. Provide boiler room shift coverage as needed. Monitor and provide monthly building water usage report. Perform the duties of the Chief Engineer during their absence. Provides direction and training to less experienced personnel. Plans, selects, and lays out required materials for service and repair work. Works from drawings, schematics, blueprints, job layouts or verbal instructions and operates a variety of tools and machines incidental to operations.Requisitions new supplies and equipment. Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures. Complies with all company policies and procedures and adhere to company standards. Perform other duties as required.
