Work you'll do This position (office location flexible), is responsible for providing strategic marketing and campaign guidance for Deloittes practice areas and industry-focused teams. The Strategic Marketing Planner (SMP) oversees strategy and planning for integrated marketing campaigns that support Deloitte. The ideal candidate will be a marketing professional - with strong ties in professional services marketing - with a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with individuals at all levels of a matrixed organization. We seek an individual who is unafraid to think differently, always thinks strategically, and keeps current on the latest marketing trends. The role will have lead responsibility for marketing issues and the strategies that increase the efficiency and value for Deloitte. SMPs serve as trusted marketing advisors to their business leaders and key stakeholders. Responsible for developing strategic marketing plans for best-in-class marketing operations as well as oversight for marketing campaign execution. In addition, SMPs build specific programs, utilizing innovative, go-to-market tools and approaches, to bring the full capabilities of the firm to bear with maximum reach and impact to the market. Responsibilities include: Campaign Strategy and Planning Develop, maintain, and drive prioritization of all marketing activities for specific areas of responsibility Work with Lead SMP and stakeholders to develop strategic marketing campaigns in support of priorities Bring innovative thinking and marketing practices to all marketing activities Develop strategic briefs (business case) for potential marketing campaigns; drive approval process for campaigns with key leadership Engage other SMPs to coordinate campaign activities and pull in other capabilities, as appropriate Engage Green Dot Agency (internal agency) in execution of campaigns; oversee, in conjunction with Agency, delivery of campaigns Manage overall marketing calendar, including major campaigns, product/offering launches, major events, and core marketing maintenance activities Work with the Lead SMP and Managing Partner, develops the marketplace strategic plan; manages project plan and oversees execution Drives collaboration between the businesses, industry and other colleagues to drive strategic marketing campaigns Coordinates with Internal Communications around initiation and development of strategic marketing campaigns Collaborates with PR team to drive media coverage when applicable Serve as marketing advisor to key stakeholders within areas of responsibility - assist with articulation of value propositions, develop marketing objectives in support of key priorities and serve as connection point across Deloitte and the firm Plan and manage marketing budgets for campaigns Along with Marketing Services, develop metrics and KPIs to assess campaign success Be a strategic business advisor to the Enterprise Operations practice areas The team Deloitte's Marketing & Communications team combines the power of Deloitte's brand with the most inspired marketing techniques to produce business results for our clients. Qualifications Required: 10 years of related experience in marketing, with a focus on marketing and communications strategy and planning Deep understanding of integrated marketing communications strategies and tactics and how they come together to provide measurable results Team oriented approach with ability to take initiative, prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously to meet client expectations and deadlines across multiple projects Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, English or related business field; Advanced degree preferred Deep understanding of the business and its strategies Ability to design campaigns that are measurable High level of comfort with ambiguity and fluid priorities Ability to manage multiple, and often complex, priorities with varying degrees of involvement Ability to make connections in highly matrixed environment, with eye on integration Executive presence, professional client service manner, demonstrated ability to take initiative Advanced communication skills - across variety of stakeholder groups - with ability to pivot Strong persuasive skills; able to gain consensus through influence Strong negotiation and problem solving skills; flexibility and adaptability Ability to work in a virtual environment A strong balance of inquiry and advocacy Deep understanding of integrated marketing communications strategies and how they come together to provide measurable results Strong command of marketing mix - earned and paid social media, writing, PR, advertising, strategic events management, digital/website management.
