Security Service Technician Responsibilities: Perform service of access control, intrusion alarms and other security related systems. Strong computer skills with ability to install and program software as needed. Work safely and responsibly to avoid injuries, damage to property, loss of unused material and clean up installation debris. Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software/systems, programs, schematics and operation/product manuals. Maintain communications with customers and project managers to resolve customer issues. Daily communications with Manager or delays, requirements, and general status of jobs. Work proactively and in a positive manner with all co-workers. Ability to solve practical problems and carry out responsibilities without supervision. Perform some self-training to complete quality installations. Complete necessary paperwork in an accurate and legible manner. Adhere to company policies including time and attendance, fleet, safety, dress codes, reporting, etc. May manage installation teams on larger projects. Coach and mentor less experienced installers. Fulfill On-Call rotation responsibilities as required. Perform basic vehicle preventative maintenance and keep work truck clean and organized Manage inventory and tools for each job to assure proper parts and tools are on hand. Qualifications: AMAG, CCURE, Lenel certification a huge plus 5+ years prior systems experience Valid driver's license in good standing Security Clearance current is a plus DCJS certified (Electronic Security Technician) Action oriented and driven individual Must possess strong communication and time management skills Physical Demands In general, the following physical demands are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is constantly (5-8hrs/shift) required to stand, walk, handle objects, and have good eye/hand/foot coordination. The employee is constantly required to frequently (2-5hrs/shift) reach, carry and grasp objects with repetitive motions. The employee will occasionally (up to 2hrs/shift) stoop, lift, push, pull, climb, balance, crawl, have exposure to weather and heavy to very heavy physical work/duty. The employee is required to climb ladders.
