Typical Roles and Responsibilities: Design creative and flexible HW/SW solutions with a motivated team of experts HW Design Examples: Electronic Circuit Design RF Design Power/Cooling Monitor and Control Interface Panel Layouts and Interconnections Console Design SW Design Examples: Process Automation Instrument Drivers and Utilities UI/UX Design Real Time, Pre and Post Processing Data Analytics Firmware Design for simulation and control SW/HW integration Requirements verification Actively support the investigation, resolution and documentation of product anomalies Understanding Design to Cost Basic Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Engineering or related STEM discipline BS in Engineering with a minimum of 5 years relevant industry experience/MS in Engineering with a minimum of 3 years relevant industry experience Must have previous Hardware and Software experience Experience in panel design, cable design, and schematic layouts Experience with HW/SW integration Experience with lab test equipment (such as DMM and O-Scopes) Experience with software development, include experience with C/C++ programming Effective verbal and written communication Active Secret Clearance Preferred Qualifications: Advanced degree in Engineering or related STEM discipline Experience with LabWindows CVI Experience with Radio Frequency (RF) design and Automated Test Equipment (ATE) Experience with schematic design tools (eg, Mentor Graphics, Zukenetc.) Experience with hands-on troubleshooting with electrical hardware PCB Layout a plus Experience with FPGA programming/Firmware design experience Active Secret/TS/SCI clearance Northrop Grumman is committed to hiring and retaining a diverse workforce.
