Fortune 500 Company is seeking a highly qualified HPC System Architect with strong interpersonal skills and business acumen to join our HPC team. Develop HPC solutions and pricing Author HPC architecture and design documents and proposals Work at the direction of HPC Portfolio Executive or HPC Proposal Manager Support HPC Portfolio growth objectives Required skillsLevel of Experience bull 5 or more yearsrsquo experience in architecting HPC client solutions which include, but not limited to the following o Compute solutions o Storage solutions o Networking solutions o File system solutions o Job scheduler solutions o Performance optimization recommendations bull Understanding of industry benchmarks and ability to make technical recommendations on how to approach them to achieve optimal performance. bull Deep understanding of HPC portfolios for the purpose of helping client teams prepare optimal solutions for HPC clients. bull The ability to effectively communicate solutions and the HPC strategy to clients at both the executive and technical level. bull Ability to engage directly with client teams to help them build competitive solutions, which balance their storage and compute requirements. - Design a complete solution which demonstrates reliably consistent runtimes on successive runs of benchmark and operational codes within a consistent environment. - Ability to design mission critical solutions with a high level of availability. bull Sharp familiarity with Linux and an understanding of the impact of operating system on performance and scalability. bull Deep understanding of the impact of networking technology and topologies on scalability of performance at a system and application level. bull Must have strong initiative and leadership to execute the associated responsibilities bull 5 or more years working experience HPC hardware software administration which shall include but not limited to o storage system installation and administration o job scheduler installation and administration o file system administration o fabric installation and administration bull Demonstrated experience and understanding of compiler technology, benchmark suites, OpenMP, MPI, networking, HPC applications, modeling language, and performance analysis. Nice to have skills bull 5 years of experience in leading andor supporting winning HPC proposals new business opportunities bull 10 or more years working experience HPC hardware software administration which shall include but not limited to o storage system installation and administration o job scheduler installation and administration o file system administration o fabric installation and administration o application optimization bull Strong verbal and written communications skills are a must, as well as the ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations and virtual teams. bull Ability to understand and engage on financial implications of proposed solutions.
