Vector Security is currently seeking a Sr. Network Engineer. This role is responsible for the design and development of customer network communications. They analyze equipment specifications and process requirements to conceive a practical design and determines feasibility from technical and economic perspectives. This role coordinates and consults with customer representatives to create designs and resolve/modify design problems and develops and maintains technical procedures, documentation and manuals. They compile and analyze operational data and directs tests to establish standard for new designs or modifications to existing equipment, systems, or processes. Success for the Sr. Network Engineer is measured by ensuring network designs meet industry standard specifications for routing and security best practices. In addition, authoring support documentation such as installation guides, troubleshooting guides, etc. that are accurate and concise are critical to the Sr. Network Engineer's success. Main Responsibilities: Customer Service Design/Engineering Sales Support of the Proposal/Design/Change Process Assist Sales Engineering with technical solutions, as needed by the following: Attend preliminary calls with customer prospects for network information gathering Create cSOWs (Customer Statements of Work) outlining a Network Product/Proposal per customer info and requirements Create a Network Diagram outlining a Network Product/Proposal per customer info and requirements Present new network delivery proposal to the customer Security Perform monthly scans of networks that the company validates for PCI-DSS certification Create and Maintain all documentation in preparation for yearly PCI Audit Maintain Policy and Procedures documentation as it pertains to Computer and Network security Monitor security vulnerability reports and ascertain potential exposure and exposure of our customers Provide subject matter expert support for various technologies IPSec/VPN Various firewalls and firewall venders (Fortinet, Meraki, SonicWall, etc) Cellular services (3G/4G LTE) WiFi technologies SD-WAN Support for Customer Environments Ensure the successful installation, integration, and deployment of our products in customer environments while maintaining quality and superior customer satisfaction Provide technical training and product overview Equipment Testing Test new equipment for viability for customer rollouts Test new software and/or features of existing deployed equipment Provide Engineering Tier 2 support via Weekly On Call rotation Remain available at all times for escalations from NIVs, NOCs, and customers Required Skills and/or Knowledge: Must have an understanding of computer science / information technology related principles and how to conduct business at an elevated level. 6+ years of experience in a multi-platform IT environment, end user support, desktop architecture, analysis & design, reporting, and process engineering is necessary. Knowledge of the technical components of an enterprise IT infrastructure is required. IP troubleshooting experience required. Sales engineering experience a plus. Telecommunications industry experience a plus.
