AHC Inc, a real estate developer with a mission to provide affordable housing, is seeking a Payroll Specialist to report to the Senior Controller.
Responsibilities:
-
Prepare and process bi-weekly payroll for approximately 200 employees
-
Manage the ADP self-service portal
-
Provide training to employees on all ADP related functions
-
Review & audit master file and pay data entries, YTD totals, and file amendments
-
Prepare various payroll & management reports, journal entries, workers compensation and
reconcile quarterly payroll taxes
-
Process new hires, employee changes, and benefit administration via ADP
-
Provide service to all employees regarding concerns or questions with payroll and system
troubleshooting inquiries
-
Create, implement & maintain a payroll procedures manual
-
Work closely with HR on requested changes
-
Keep abreast of payroll related federal and state regulations
-
Maintain appropriate electronic & paper documentation
-
Ensure compliance and integrity of all payroll information and actions

Provide administrative support as needed

Other related duties
Minimum requirements:
-
High School diploma or equivalent
-
At least 2 years’ experience with payroll processing in an organization with at least 100
employees
-
Demonstrated knowledge of payroll systems to include understanding of payroll & payroll tax
laws
-
Experience with ADP Workforce Now preferred
-
Experience providing administrative support in a Finance division
-
Strong attention to detail
-
Demonstrated ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality

Excellent written & verbal communication
-
Demonstrated ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines under pressure
-
Demonstrated experience with Excel, various spreadsheets, and automated payroll systems

Strong organizational skills
