TEMPORARY LEGAL RECRUITING ASSISTANT LOCATION: Washington, DC (metro-accessible) ANTICIPATED ASSIGNMENT DURATION: until September REGULAR HOURS: Monday through Friday, 9:00 A.M. to 5:30 P.M. with 1 hour (unpaid) for lunch (37.5-hour work week) REPORTING TO: Legal Recruiting Manager Elite global law firm seeks a temporary Legal Recruiting Assistant to assist their Global People Team in translating the Firm’s business strategy into talent imperatives that deliver on their 2020 vision of profitable growth, engaged people, and outstanding client relationships. Under general supervision, the temporary Legal Recruiting Assistant will support the Recruiting Team with all aspects of the graduate recruiting process, including campus recruitment, summer associate program, and lateral recruitment as well as special projects. The temporary Legal Recruiting Assistant must exhibit strong organizational, analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills and maintain a professional demeanor at all times. PLEASE NOTE: Evening work will be required. RESPONSIBILITIES: (Summer Program) Onboarding details for summer associates Assisting with the planning and execution of summer program events Liaising with the Marketing Department to create collateral materials Soliciting and retrieving summer associate evaluations Corresponding with summer associates, responding to daily inquiries (Campus Recruiting) Assisting with coordinating interview schedules Greeting candidates Ensuring that the Department’s recruiting database and files are properly maintained and that student correspondence is completed in a timely manner Preparing interview packets and collateral materials Arranging conference rooms in connection with callback interviews Monitoring general email inbox and processing emails accordingly Assisting with the organization of fall and spring recruiting activities at law schools Processing travel expenses related to callback interviews (Lateral Recruiting) Assisting with coordinating interview schedules Greeting candidates (Other) Assisting with special projects on an as-needed basis QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree required Excellent interpersonal, organizational, analytical, and communication skills (written and oral) required Detail-oriented self-starter with a client-focused approach Ability to work independently as well as in a team Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines and multi-task Event planning experience a plus Strong technical skills – Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; Taleo; viDesktop or other talent management systems Self-motivated and achievement-oriented Open-minded and collaborative with a consultative approach Inclusive and culturally sensitive Calm and resilient Excellent business acumen and administrative skills Ability to manage competing/conflicting priorities effectively Please submit your resume in Word format to: sstrauss@mylegale.com.
