Human Resources and Legal Coordinator FULL TIME Fredericksburg, VA Seeking an experienced HR/Legal Coordinator to support all basic HR functions and assist in documentation management and communications on legal issues. This position works with both current employees and new hires and is responsible for coordinating functions pertaining to recruitment, employment, compensation, benefits, policies, compliance, training, termination, and HR regulatory issues. This position is also involved with identifying methods to improve employment policies, processes and practices as well as recommending changes to management. Other responsibilities also include conducting research, analysis, and reporting under the direction of upper administration, in addition to daily tasks. This position also supports the values and initiatives of the practice and demonstrates a commitment of quality service to our patients and their families, the community, the physicians, and our associates. Primary Responsibilities: Maintains the strictest confidentiality on matters pertaining to the company and its employees Coordinates recruitment activities to include posting and advertising openings, maintaining resume/applicant database, screening resumes and employment applications, verifies applicant references, certification/licensure, and educational credentials, and coordinates scheduling of interviews. Also prepares offer, regret and acknowledgement letters Assists in development of job descriptions Oversees new employee orientation, processes new hire paperwork, benefit enrollment, and I-9 processing Assists administration in updating, creating and implementation of new policies Acts as liaison between employees and management in a courteous, confidential and professional manner Processes and tracks FMLA paperwork Processes and tracks Workers Compensation claims Maintains monitors and tracks statistical and departmental reports as requested Responds to employee HR related queries Ensures payroll is submitted by manager and directors in a timely fashion Provides support to the upper leadership related to documentation management and communications with legal and regulatory representatives Supports administration in all other HR and legal related issues as requested Qualifications: Associate degree required; Bachelors degree preferred 3 to 5 years of Human Resources related experience Proficiency in Microsoft Office Excellent written and verbal communication skills High degree of professionalism and commitment to confidentiality Strong organizational, attention to detail, and time management skills
