The responsibilities of the Recruiter are very similar to that of a Project Coordinator. The primary responsibility of a Recruiter is to recruit, interview and hire qualified Field Employees to ensure overall workforce optimization and to successfully build and manage a safe, stable, productive and skilled labor workforce.This position requires the Recruiter to have a clear understanding of the company's mission, core values, business model and how we establish ourselves as the employer of choice in the construction market. The Recruiter builds quality relationships with field employees while meeting or exceeding recruitment goals.The Recruiter position has a shared purpose with all other positions in the Field Office to create and maintain a safety culture. For the Recruiter, this is achieved through the administration of a rigorous hiring process and by managing the safety of the workforce after the hire through daily education, training and motivation to engage in safety-related behaviors.The Recruiter reports to the Project Coordinator/General Manager. Major Responsibilities: - Uses iCIMS (Tradesmen's Applicant Tracking Software) to build and maintain a large pool of qualified candidates. - Uses iCIMS for all job postings including jobs posted on the Tradesmen Job Board as well as other external job boards - CareerBuilder, Craigslist, Indeed, Monster, etc. while monitoring the monthly advertising budget. - Performs reviews on all job posting responses in iCIMS. - Searches for qualified candidates using available resume databases including iCIMS, CareerBuilder and Indeed - Performs off-site recruiting, attends job fairs and uses all available recruitment tools to attract and identify quality craftsmen - Schedules and tracks all interviews in iCIMS. - Conducts employment interviews for Field Employee applicants in adherence with state and federal employment laws. - Hires Field Employees using the Tradesmen International hiring process described in the Field Office Procedures Manual, including, but not limited to, thoroughly reviewing completed employment applications, verifying all employment gaps, checking references, submitting criminal background checks where appropriate, for all qualified applicants, and in general is responsible for hiring qualified Employees with regard to skill level and work ethic as needed to fill open work orders. - Conducts field employee orientation and educates the new employees about our commitment to safety during the hiring process (eg, explanation of safety as our number one core value), orientation (eg, accident reporting procedures) and the online OSHA 10-Hour course registration. - Reviews, completes, submits, and maintains hiring paperwork for Field Employee new hires and rehires. - Assist with the administration of the online OSHA-10 Training or schedules in person OSHA 10-Hour training and maintains Field Employee OSHA attendance records. - Attends the daily Operations Meeting and reviews open orders to determine existing and anticipated labor needs by classification on a daily basis. - Dispatches all Field Employees in the computer, matching Client needs with qualified Field Employees daily. - Assists in walking Field Employees on Jobs their first day on any given jobsite to introduce them to the superintendent. - Calls all ASAP and Available Field Employees daily to confirm and verify status. - Performs all relevant computer tasks as detailed in the Computer Systems Manual found on the Tradesmen Intranet. - Manages Field Employee activity regarding performance, attendance, safety, pay and other work-related issues. - Supports the payroll process. - Maintains appropriate documentation and notes in Field Employee files for defense of contested state unemployment compensation claims. - Remains updated on and adheres to all procedures detailed in the Field Office Procedures Manual. - Uses Accuterm and iCIMS dashboard reports to track and discuss recruiting and hiring activity with Project Coordinator/General Manager during weekly one-on-ones. - Performs other duties as assigned.
